Google Cloud is elevating AI security by powering new identity and access management capabilities to maximize compliance, risk management, and resilience in enterprise environments.
Google Cloud announced the new innovations concerning the enhanced security of artificial intelligence (AI) at its virtual Security Summit securing Google Cloud. These updates come as part of a broader approach that Google is taking to aid organizations in adopting AI as they simplify operations by leveraging agent-driven security capabilities.
The new features of Google are the agent inventory, risk detection, and prevention of prompt injection and jailbreaking attacks. Its revised Trusted Cloud platform adds deeper compliance management tools, posture, and other data security features. Importantly, Google noted the importance of identity and access management that helps mitigate risks associated with deploying AI with verified users and systems accessing sensitive resources.
Google Cloud security AI lead Naveed Makhani called the innovations unprecedented opportunities to increase resilience and minimize vulnerabilities in the enterprises. With IAM present in the context of the Google Unified Security (GUS) package, organizations can enjoy greater visibility and strengthen the enforcement of controls in their online settings.
Further, Google has been ramping up consulting services, including risk-based AI governance and pre-deployment hardening, to supplement its IAM improvements under its Mandiant business. These measures should assist enterprises in adopting innovation, not at the expense of security as the adoption of AI is increasing.
Leaning on identity and access management through its growing security suite, Google Cloud is establishing itself as a player in charge of the security of the next generation of AI-powered business ecosystems.
