The industrial automation giant, Rockwell Automation, based in the US, is taking advantage of Chinese digital and green transformation, which are in line with the strategy of sustainable and quality industrial development in the country. According to Ian Shih, the President of Rockwell Automation (China) Ltd., the three concepts of innovation, green, and digital best align with the future long-term economic objectives of China.

The strategy of Rockwell focuses on intelligent production, clean technologies, and AI-controlled productivity. The company promotes the shift away from low-end manufacturing and carbon emissions into highly efficient manufacturing and the Chinese goal of being carbon neutral because it advances the smart operations with energy efficiency. Its joint venture in Shanghai combines technologies and patents to foster scalable innovations in the areas of new energy and high-quality equipment.

The annual report on Smart Manufacturing released by Rockwell showed that 95 percent of manufacturers around the world are investing in AI and machine learning, with automation taking a key role in industrial transformation. Shih emphasized that China has a large industrial foundation and a friendly approach to innovation, and it is a good region to introduce AI and digital solutions.

The initiatives made by Rockwell Automation do not only enhance the Chinese industrial ecosystem but also export Chinese innovations worldwide; more importantly, they enhance the growth, sustenance, and technological superiority of industries worldwide.
