For the first time ever, Hyundai Motor will offer its vehicles for sale on Amazon starting next year.

At the Los Angeles Auto Show on Thursday, the two businesses jointly announced the relocation and their intention to incorporate Amazon's Alexa artificial intelligence speaker into Hyundai cars starting in 2025. In order to aid in its digital transformation, Hyundai also designated the AWS cloud service of the massive American e-commerce company as its preferred supplier.

Chang Jaehoon, the CEO of Hyundai Motor, stated in a press release that the company has discovered amazing opportunities to broaden its product line, build its sales network, move toward electrification, and realize the potential of smart mobility by collaborating with one of the most customer-focused companies globally.

The news is that Hyundai is growing its market share in the United States as a result of robust sales of its premium Genesis and Ioniq electric cars. The carmaker plans to start producing cars in Georgia as early as next year and is already constructing a new EV factory there.

The manufacturers of electric batteries, Hyundai and South Korea, are racing to establish production plants in the United States in an attempt to boost sales by utilizing consumer subsidies that are offered for EVs made in North America.

Hyundai announced that in 2024, its dealers will be able to sell cars on Amazon's U.S. website for the first time, making the manufacturer the first brand that consumers can buy. According to the firm, customers can purchase a new automobile online and have it delivered or picked up at a convenient time by their neighborhood dealership.
