Joining forces with Mimecast, Google Workspace enhances compliance and governance of digital IS with more robust security and data insights across platforms in which users collaborate.

Mimecast, a UK-based cybersecurity company, has announced an effective integration with Google Workspace that will improve compliance and governance over enterprise collaboration tools. The new solution expands the platform of Mimecast Digital Communication Governance, Compliance, and Insights to Google Chat, Drive, Calendar, and Google Meet as well as Gmail.

This revelation comes in the wake of a statement on the results of the State of Human Risk 2025 report by Mimecast, where 79 percent of the participants identified collaboration tools as the emerging security risks. These risks are addressed by AI-powered archive, data preservation, eDiscovery, and real-time monitoring of primary compliance by the integrated solution.

The tool to facilitate high regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA and FINRA and enable organizations to achieve a strong balance of compliance and governance without reducing productivity. The functions will offer the Workspace user retrospective access, proactive threat detection, data control, and effective behavior insight.

This partnership is based on the similar vision Mimecast and Google have in common to protect human risk and simplify compliance in digital communications.
