SlatorCon Highlights Modern Documentation Strategies

The SlatorCon panel highlights the importance of document process management in providing rapid, precise and localized technical documentation throughout the world.

Industry leaders, during the SlatorCon Remote 2025 show, highlighted that document process management is increasingly becoming significant to the provision of smooth and multilingual technical documentation to global users. As a Slator senior analyst, Alex Edwards, the panel included contributions from LanguageWire and Konecranes.

There was a consensus among the speakers that speed alone will not make document process management effective anymore and it must be relevant, integrated and easy to understand by the end users. The growing personalization of industrial products is increasing the complexity of documentation department teams to support terminology, metadata, and multitrack translation processes.

Signe Winther Poulsen, the COO of LanguageWire, underscored the importance of harmonizing good integrations and automation with human knowledge. Also, the Konecranes documentation manager, Pasi Savola, pointed out that, despite advanced technologies, AI cannot replace human verification in customer-facing content, which means that people will remain one of the pillars of document process management.

Panelists also discussed how modern content management systems facilitate end-to-end processes. Konecranes is moving over to a new CMS to minimize friction and increase scalability. The panelists have further argued that clearly defined document management processes are critical in the successful adoption of AI without negatively affecting quality.

In a push towards quicker turnaround time in organizations, the attainment of sustainable document process management was an agreement on the correct combination of technology, organized procedures and human judgment to guarantee accurate and usable information at global levels.
