Most Admired Companies to Watch 2026
As digital communication expands across borders, personal and business data has become one of the most valuable, and exposed assets in the modern world. Every message sent, file stored, or email exchanged carries a silent demand for trust. Yet rising cyber threats, surveillance concerns, and aggressive data harvesting practices have made privacy harder to protect and even harder to guarantee. In this environment, secure communication is no longer a luxury but a necessity for individuals, enterprises, and governments alike.
Building on this need for uncompromising protection, Sekur Private Data delivers Swiss-based cybersecurity and internet privacy solutions designed to keep information truly private and under user control. With its data hosted on Switzerland’s strict Federal Act on Data Protection framework, the company offers encrypted email, secure messaging, cloud storage, disaster recovery, and document management services built on its own proprietary infrastructure, completely independent of Big Tech platforms. By operating exclusively within Switzerland, and on its own infrastructure, Sekur ensures that all data remains protected from Big Tech data miners and unauthorized surveillance.
Switzerland’s political neutrality, economic stability, and world-leading privacy standards further strengthen Sekur’s foundation. Its services are hosted in Tier-3 secure Swiss data centers, designed for continuous uptime and resilience against environmental or operational disruptions. Features such as self-destructing messages, IP protection, and end-to-end encrypted communication reinforce its commitment to absolute confidentiality.
Serving consumers, businesses, and governments worldwide, Sekur Private Data continues to redefine secure digital communication by combining Swiss legal protection, independent infrastructure, and a privacy-first philosophy that keeps user data exactly where it belongs—with the user. Sekur also offers on-premises infrastructure for Governments looking for data sovereignty for their own users.
At CIO Bulletin, we had the distinct honor of interviewing Alain Ghiai, the Founder and CEO of Sekur Private Data. He shared powerful insights into how the company remains dedicated to a singular mission: returning the power of privacy to where it truly belongs—in your hands.
Interview Highlights
What inspired the founding of Sekur Private Data in 2012, and how has that original vision of putting data privacy back in users’ hands continued to guide every strategic decision?
Sekur was founded on the grounds of providing a unique set of privacy communications solutions in an age where big tech is data-mining all our data. The initial start was in Switzerland, and we have since evolved and established our headquarters in Miami, Florida, USA. Every decision we make regarding solution upgrades places privacy and security at the center of that decision.
Could you briefly walk us through your flagship products and what sets these offerings apart in today’s highly competitive cybersecurity landscape?
Our flagship products are Sekurmail, SekurMessenger, and SekurVPN. One of the unique advantages is that it lets Sekur users communicate with non Sekur users. Also, we offer multiple privacy features that are unique to our solutions. SekurMail eliminates BEC compromise, and our SekurMessenger does not require a phone number to have an account. We have more information available on our site, so I recommend readers visiting sekur.com, as we offer many unique advantages.
How does hosting exclusively in Swiss Tier-3 data centers under FADP empower Sekur to deliver a level of privacy and security unmatched by Big Tech platforms?
Having our own infrastructure, outside of Big Tech, and hosting it in Switzerland, guarantees everyone that we comply with strict Swiss FADP data privacy laws. For government entities, we offer on-premises hosting for compliance with data sovereignty.
How has Sekur’s independent infrastructure, outside AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, and beyond laws like the U.S. CLOUD and PATRIOT Acts, built trust among consumers, enterprises, and governments worldwide?
It has built tremendous trust. Switzerland has the strictest privacy laws in the world. I should mention that for governments requiring data sovereignty, we offer on-premises solutions.
For leaders demanding true data sovereignty in an era of rising BEC attacks and surveillance, why is Sekur the gold standard in secure, Swiss-hosted communications today?
Sekur offers multiple capabilities that guarantee privacy and security in communications. These capabilities extend across multiple sectors of government and the private sector, such as defense, military, Intelligence, banking, law, and medical fields, etc. Our unique solutions, including our upcoming Sekur Platinum package with Voice and Video capabilities, offer the highest security and privacy for HNWIs, C-suite executives, and government personnel.
As privacy threats grow more sophisticated and regulations tighten globally, what emerging challenges in cybersecurity is Sekur uniquely positioned to solve through its zero-knowledge, no-metadata architecture?
We are uniquely positioned to offer zero-knowledge communications, particularly in the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) communications domain for defense, diplomatic, and other government agencies’ communications.
What key innovations and milestones have earned Sekur recognition among the “Most Admired Companies to Watch 2026”, and how do they reflect your commitment to true privacy by design?
We have launched a unique way for Sekur users to communicate within their organization and outside of it, offering the same privacy and security outside of the organization itself. This is extremely important for diplomatic, government, military, and high-trust communications.
Looking ahead, what is next for Sekur Private Data? Are there any upcoming innovations, products, or partnerships that your clients should be particularly excited about?
We are launching SekurPhone and Sekur Platinum packages. Voice and video calling with no trace left behind. This is a highly anticipated launch, coming in June 2026. We also are launching a defense-grade mobile router for anyone looking to protect themselves from router hacking, and for privacy-minded users looking to have a secure mobile Wi-Fi connection anywhere they go.
