Most Admired Companies to Watch 2026
Symponia Farms is a medical cannabinoid dispensary based out of Battle Creek, Michigan. Tracing its etymology to mean compassion in ancient Greek, a team of service disabled Veterans own the company’s farm. They strive to stand out from their competitors by following an in-house process of building and growing cannabis. By following the right process, Symponia Farms maintains consistent product quality, providing customers exactly what they need and expect every single time. This also provides patients a better and safer alternative to traditional prescription medication. Furthermore, all of its flowers are expertly grown, carefully harvested, meticulously trimmed, and then slowly dried and cured before it gets tested for state compliance.
The company serves the Calhoun & Kalamazoo County area, including Battle Creek, Springfield, Urbandale, Marshall, Richland, Galesburg, Augusta, Climax, Scotts, Hickory Corners, Bedford, Pennefield & Gull Lake area. Operating on the motto of “it’s about more”, Symponia Farms is more than a company looking to benefit from a new, growing industry by maximizing profits. It gives back to the society by building a community and a future with service and excellence as its foundational pillar. Serving people with a commitment, it delivers to them the highest quality, chemical-free natural medicine they deserve. In this manner, the company helps turn unproductive land into a community resource that provides jobs, taxes, and fees. By cleaning up a blighted old junkyard that was a tax burden, it successfully transformed the land into a high-tech, custom-built, indoor grow, processing, and provisioning facility.
Hence, Symponia Farms serves its primary stakeholders – patients, customers, and community - in a way that builds up and supports all those that it has the honor of working for and with. Thus, it makes a positive impact on individuals and communities alike.
Symponia Farms makes use of the biological diversity in seeds to target desirable traits and eliminate undesirable ones. Its genetics feature strains from phenotype hunts conducted in the company’s cloning lab, where seeds are meticulously grown and tested to search for the ideal mother plant. Once selected, the mother plants are kept alive for 12-18 months and cloned to feed grow rooms, and these cuttings are genetically identical to the source plant. Eventually, the mother plants are refreshed with new clones upon reaching the end of life to create an exact “GEN 2” copy.
Recognizing that growing is science, the company’s grow medium, nutrient regime, and environment are closely quality-monitored from the start. Its plants are grown in coconut husk, a renewable and biodegradable medium that allows for the delivery of custom-made nutrients that comprise plant feed mixed on-site. This can be delivered several times a day without any risk of overwatering. Moreover, Symponia Farms uses an in-house drip irrigation system that is fed by a customized fertigation system that enables robust data collection and complete control of nutrient delivery. Lastly, the company controls the air filtration (HEPA, carbon, and UV) in addition to heating, cooling, and dehumidification.
Thus, this level of control, along with an advanced lighting system, dedicated clean room, and facility hygiene protocols cumulatively produces a reliable recipe for cannabis growth. Significantly, Symponia Farms resists the traditional numbers game relied upon by commercial growers that results in very similar strains that largely smell the same. Instead, it focuses on taste, terpenes, and effect rather than THC and yield to produce a more diverse and enjoyable flower selection. The company’s portfolio includes old school staples such as its famous Acapulco Gold, apart from its popular 1:1 Strange Candy product. Customers are also recommended to try award-winning new cultivars from top breeders like sMACkin and Red Dawn.
Symponia Farms offers both individual and wholesale retail options covering cartridges, concentrates, flower, and pre-rolls. By virtue of its innovative product range, focus on high-quality operations, and a responsibility to foster an empowered cannabis-conscious community, the company ranks among the “Most Admired Companies to Watch 2026.”
