At CIO Bulletin, we had the privilege of interviewing Sandy Mehra, Founder and CEO of Telgoo5. He offered clear and compelling insights into how Telgoo5 continues to help carriers unlock greater value from their services, simplify complex operations, and stand ready for the opportunities of the next network generation.

Interview Highlights
How has Telgoo5 evolved alongside the telecom industry over the past two decades?
Telgoo5 has always evolved around a simple principle: telecom technology cannot stand still while the services around it continue to change.
Over the past 20 years, the platform has expanded both horizontally and vertically, developing from its earlier capabilities into a comprehensive cloud-based telecom platform. Today, Telgoo5 brings together CRM, billing, BSS/OSS, online and offline charging, mediation, inventory, taxation, wholesale enablement, payments, fraud prevention, provisioning, and other operational capabilities.
That evolution continues today. Telecom is increasingly moving toward convergence, where the lines between wireless, broadband, VoIP, IoT, and other connected services are becoming less distinct. Our focus is therefore not only on supporting what operators need today, but building the infrastructure they will need next.
That philosophy has also taken Telgoo5 into new markets, including enterprise and MSP billing and, most recently, solutions designed specifically for fiber and broadband providers.
What differentiates Telgoo5 in today's BSS landscape?
The biggest differentiator is the breadth of what operators can manage within one ecosystem.
A BSS should do much more than generate an invoice. Telgoo5 connects the commercial and operational sides of the business—from customer acquisition and CRM to product management, order management, provisioning, billing, real-time charging, payments, inventory, taxation, revenue assurance, and customer support.
At the same time, we have deliberately maintained a modular architecture. Every operator has different requirements, networks, partners, products, and existing systems. Rather than forcing businesses into one rigid operating model, Telgoo5 can be configured around those requirements and integrated through APIs with carriers, payment providers, network systems, and other third-party platforms.
Our experience across both prepaid and postpaid services, MVNO enablement, wholesale, OCS, BSS, and now broadband and enterprise environments gives us a particularly broad view of service monetization.
What principles guide Telgoo5's product development and customer relationships?
Three principles have remained consistent: flexibility, speed, and customer-first development.
Telecom businesses cannot wait years for technology transformation. They need the ability to introduce products, modify pricing, integrate partners, and respond to customer expectations without rebuilding their underlying infrastructure.
That is why we approach the platform as something that continuously evolves. We listen closely to the operational challenges our customers encounter and use those requirements to guide development.
The same philosophy applies to partnerships. We don't view implementation as simply delivering software and walking away. Telecom operations are constantly changing, so the technology relationship has to evolve with the customer's business.
That customer-first approach is reflected in Telgoo5 achieving a Net Promoter Score of 88 in a recent market study.
Telgoo5 now serves wireless, broadband, VoIP, MSP and enterprise environments. How does one platform support such different models?
The common denominator is monetization and customer lifecycle management.
Different industries may sell very different services, but they still need to create products, establish pricing, onboard customers, provision services, measure usage, generate charges, collect payments, manage inventory, and support customers.
Telgoo5 separates those underlying capabilities from any single business model.
That means an operator can support recurring subscriptions, one-time charges, usage-based pricing, prepaid and postpaid services, bundles, devices, and other models without creating an entirely separate billing environment for each offering.
This flexibility is particularly important as service categories converge. A provider that historically offered one connectivity service may increasingly want to add others. The underlying BSS needs to make that expansion easier rather than becoming an obstacle to it.
Why is real-time charging becoming increasingly important?
Telecom monetization is becoming far more dynamic. Providers increasingly need to rate voice, SMS, data, events, bundles, promotions, and other services while usage is happening—not simply reconcile everything at the end of a billing cycle.
Telgoo5's Online Charging System and convergent rating capabilities are designed around that requirement. They allow operators to apply charging rules in real time, enforce balances and usage policies, and support prepaid, postpaid, and increasingly complex service models.
This becomes even more important with 5G, IoT, roaming, and new usage-based services because monetization needs to keep pace with the network itself.
Real-time charging, therefore, isn't simply a billing function. It becomes part of revenue assurance, customer experience, and the operator's ability to create new products quickly.
How is Telgoo5 addressing fraud prevention and security?
As connectivity expands, operators have to protect both the network and the revenue flowing through it.
Telgoo5's Fraud & EIR capabilities provide operators with tools for detecting suspicious behavior, identifying abnormal traffic patterns, monitoring unauthorized device connections, and responding through configurable rules and alerts.
The EIR component adds another layer of device-level control, while reporting and analytics help operators understand patterns and continually refine their fraud-prevention strategies.
Importantly, these controls can be configured around an operator's own business rules and regulatory requirements. Fraud prevention is not a one-size-fits-all problem, particularly when operating across different markets and service models.
As BSS becomes increasingly cloud-native and AI-driven, where does Telgoo5 see the next competitive frontier?
We believe the next phase is about making the BSS increasingly intelligent, automated, and connected.
Cloud architecture provides the scalability, but automation and AI can change how efficiently operators actually use that infrastructure. There are opportunities across customer support, operational workflows, analytics, revenue assurance, fraud detection, and the way businesses identify and respond to patterns across large volumes of data.
At the same time, we don't believe in adding AI simply for the sake of calling a product AI-enabled. The objective has to be measurable operational value: reducing manual intervention, making information easier to act upon, accelerating decisions, and creating better customer experiences.
Our strategy is to combine those capabilities with the telecom infrastructure Telgoo5 has spent more than two decades developing.
What is next for Telgoo5?
One of the areas we're particularly excited about is fiber and broadband.
Broadband providers have built valuable, recurring relationships with millions of homes and businesses. Increasingly, there is an opportunity to extend those relationships beyond fixed broadband by adding mobile and other connected services.
That creates an important BSS challenge. A traditional broadband billing environment was not necessarily designed to handle mobile requirements such as SIM/eSIM management, real-time usage, charging, wireless provisioning, and more complex service bundles.
Telgoo5 is bringing its experience in wireless BSS/OSS and charging together with capabilities designed specifically for fiber and broadband operations. The objective is to allow providers to manage internet, voice, mobile, and additional services within a more unified operational environment.
We see this convergence of fiber and mobile as an important part of where the connectivity market is heading. Rather than operating separate technology stacks for every service, providers should be able to manage a broader customer relationship through one flexible platform.
