Infosys Partnership Strengthens as GlobalFoundries Expands Managed IT Services

Infosys strengthens its collaboration with GlobalFoundries as the expanded IT services partnership focuses on scalable technology solutions and digital growth.

Infosys, a global leader in AI-first business consulting and technology services and GlobalFoundries, a top semiconductor manufacturer,  announced an extended multi-year Infosys partnership to provide AI-led managed services throughout GF's enterprise IT landscape.

Infosys will oversee GF's whole application, infrastructure, data, and service desk operations as a result of this partnership. GF chose Infosys due of its extensive knowledge of the semiconductor industry and its track record as an established technology supplier. By switching from externally supported operations to a truly managed services model powered by automation, artificial intelligence, and continuous optimization, the engagement aims to improve GF's IT operations.

The goal of the partnership is to transition GF from operations that are supported by outside parties to a managed services structure with more uniform management. In reality, Infosys will use automation tools for everyday service management and supervise a larger range of operational duties.

Internal IT systems assist everything from corporate planning and operational coordination to workforce support for semiconductor manufacturing. As businesses manage more data and run more software across numerous locations, maintaining those systems' stability has become increasingly crucial.
