WSP Expands Healthcare Advisory with Acquisition of Management Consulting Firm Lexica

Lexica is now part of WSP following acquisition which will enable WSP to give more healthcare and life sciences advisory services.

The consulting firm Lexica, which specializes in healthcare management, has been bought by WSP, a leading engineering group headquartered in Canada. Set up in 2014 as part of the NHS, Lexica concentrates on healthcare strategy, project management, digital consultancy and advising on net zero in the UK and internationally.

Since its 2022 rebranding, Lexica has seen rapid growth and is now considered a top management consulting company in the UK by both Financial Times and Consultancy.org. The group of 90 consultants will draw strengths and guidance from WSP which operates internationally.

Tina Nolan, who leads Lexica as Managing Director, thinks the acquisition is a major step forward that will allow the company to grow and help clients more. The acquisition supports WSP’s goal to expand its Advisory business mainly in the healthcare and life sciences areas in the next few years.

He said WSP is looking for new ways to expand their management consulting activities and secure their position in healthcare. WSP UK & Ireland Managing Director Paul Reilly said the move suits WSP’s strategy by allowing it to provide better and more connected management consulting services.

The acquisition further strengthens WSP’s consulting and engineering businesses which have seen deals like Power Engineers and AKF recently. This indicates a persistent endeavor to enhance management consulting; ensuring clients across various sectors receive the appropriate assistance.
