FundApps raises money from FTV Capital to enhance its RegTech platform, go international, and increase its regulatory compliance products.

FundApps, the RegTech leader in regulatory compliance, has raised a significant growth equity investment to fuel its global expansion and product development, FTV Capital said. The transaction occurs as international regulations increasingly impact financial institutions.

FundApps Inc. is a UK-based financial technology company based in London and founded in 2010. It manufactures cloud-based software that automates shareholding disclosures and other position limits. Its platform has more than 160 global clients and manages assets valued at more than 29 trillion.

The new funding will help FundApps to scale its regulatory compliance platform, make acquisitions and increase its scope in the RegTech industry. Its founder and CEO, Andrew Patrick White, said that the investment confirmed the company with its differentiated RegTech offering. The US-based growth equity institution FTV Capital, known to have more than 10 billion dollars in assets under management, is enhancing its position in the European RegTech area. The company has recently hired Richard Earnshaw as head of European investments and so far invested in a number of local technology companies.

Scottish Equity Partners is a former investor and the investment results in a complete exit of the firm. The term was not disclosed, but it entails the inclusion of FTV agents in the board of directors of FundApps and it is expected that the relationship will increase in the emerging RegTech system.
