Singapore Airlines has introduced new premium economy service offerings, featuring a new amenity kit, 175 new food menu choices, and improved service options and more.
Updates to Singapore Airlines' premium economy service offerings were disclosed. The U.S.-based sustainable lifestyle company Out of the Woods created a new amenity kit that is offered upon request on flights lasting at least seven hours, along with 175 new food menu choices and brand-new dishware. In comparison to the standard economy product, the airline's premium economy cabin offers larger seats and better service, and it debuted in 2015. The service options in the class have undergone a significant makeover for the first time with Thursday's announcement.
Singapore Airlines' divisional vice president of inflight service and design, Betty Wong, stated that the airline made modifications to its premium economy offerings in response to feedback from customers, who indicated that the majority of them booked premium economy tickets primarily because of the options for food and drink. The menu has been updated with new wine and champagne selections, a wider range of tea options, and a number of new meals such as lamb biryani, grilled beef tenderloin, and seafood hor fun.
Starting on March 31, the new service items will be available on flights. As part of the modifications, the airline did not reveal any new seat configurations or designs. On 42% of its flights, including those to Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Newark, San Francisco, and Seattle, premium economy is offered, according to Singapore Airlines.
