Nura Studios Launches AI Animation Platform to Assist Game and Animation Studios

Nura Studios unveils Showcraft, an AI-powered platform that helps animation and game studios transform existing assets into episodic series and films.

On April 30, Nura Studios announced that its AI animation platform, Showcraft, will enter early access on May 19. This is conceptualized as a system that would assist game and animation studios in converting existing characters, environments, and production assets into episodic series and films. This platform is designed to utilize human-created intellectual property to preserve the source materials’ emotional depth and artistic intent while allowing for new storytelling formats to emerge.

Furthermore, Showcraft integrates within a single environment various aspects of animation, including story development, pre-production, visual and voice creation, and the final editing process. Fine-tuned AI models power the platform to work from assets created by artists to reduce obstacles in production and eliminate entry barriers to maintain overall control and consistency. The complexity of AI processes is handled well behind the scenes by its workflow, which avoids the generic outputs often associated with generative tools. According to Sylvio Drouin, CEO and co-founder of Nura Studios, “With Showcraft, teams can extend their characters, environments, and production assets into episodic storytelling, unlocking new formats for engagement without starting over. Machines have no talent, humans do. Showcraft is built to amplify that talent."

Moreover, Nura Atelier, the company’s in-house creative studio, uses Showcraft to produce episodic content for select partners. The studio’s team comprises Emmy and Academy Award-winning talent across writing, directing, animation, and voice, along with AI-focused production expertise. Interested studios can join Nura Studios’ Early Access waitlist through the company’s website and contact Nura Atelier directly for partnership enquiries. CIO Bulletin views this development as an invaluable opportunity for animation and game studios to utilize Nura Studio’s industry-leading Showcraft platform to increase their operational efficiency.
