Former Salesforce CFO Amy Weaver will take charge as Direct Relief CEO in May 2025 through her background in business, law, finance and humanitarian relief.
Direct Relief confirmed Amy Weaver as the next Chief Executive Officer who will start her leadership role on May 5, 2025. Weaver currently manages Salesforce as President and CFO while delivering valuable expertise from her experience in business, law, finance and operations.
Mark Linehan declared that Weaver would lead Direct Relief through growing challenges because she holds the necessary expertise combined with her passion and caliber. Weaver spent close to 12 years at Salesforce taking charge as CFO for the global finance operations and other essential functions. She took charge of directing corporate strategy and development as the Chief Legal Officer while serving in this role.
Weaver brings a comprehensive experience set to her leadership position from times at Univar and Expedia Group along with her legal career which extends its reach across both Hong Kong and the United States. Through her leadership roles Weaver dedicates much of her time to support affordable housing initiatives along with disaster preparedness efforts and she holds a position on the Habitat for Humanity International Board of Directors.
She inherits the Direct Relief leadership position from Thomas Tighe who served as leader for twenty-four years. The direction set by Tighe enabled Direct Relief to grow into the fifth-largest charity organization in America before Weaver took charge to direct the organization through complex global humanitarian requirements.
