K18 appoints beauty veteran Kleo Mack as Chief Marketing Officer to drive the brand’s science-first storytelling and global market expansion.

K18, a biotechnology hair care brand, recently announced the appointment of Kleo Mack as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) effective April 8. Mack succeeds Audrey Dorfman in her new role, transitioning from her previous appointment as Shark Beauty’s Senior Vice President and CMO since May 2025. Before this, she served in a senior leadership capacity at L’Oréal and was both the Vice President of Brand and CMO of Glossier from 2021 to 2025.

Furthermore, Suveen Sahib, the brand’s co-founder, noted that Mack was the perfect candidate to head the company’s marketing team owing to her consumer-centric style of functioning and possessing experience in culture-shaping marketing. This is evident in Mack spearheading captivating campaigns, such as signing Olivia Rodrigo as Glossier’s first celebrity ambassador. Mack and Sahib will together work towards championing the brand’s science-first ethos and streamline storytelling by creating limited, albeit resonant “brand moments”.

Moreover, the brand at present is attempting to promote its new TripleBright blonde shampoo by conducting a global tour where cities dealing with increased exposure to hard water are being identified. Through this approach, a new potential customer base is being created. Also, Sahib highlighted this strategy of resonating culturally within specific cities and championing stylists as holding the key to developing the brand globally. Continuing on this endeavor, the brand launched a ProArtist Programme to further support its network of professionals. According to CIO Bulletin, Mack’s appointment as the CEO would benefit stylists by expanding to newer markets while streamlining the company’s operations towards greater revenue generation.
