A new era of digital education begins as the state shifts toward a technology-driven future to ensure no student is left behind.
The landscape of education in Manipur is undergoing a major transformation. In a move to bring the classroom directly to the doorsteps of students, Education Minister Thokchom Radheshyam officially launched a dedicated website for e learning and an e-office for the Thoubal District Education office.
This initiative arrives at a critical time when technology has shifted from being a luxury to an absolute necessity. During the launch, Minister Radheshyam highlighted that the “e-world” is now an indispensable part of modern life. He noted that gadgets and digital platforms have become the primary bridge for communication and learning. As noted by CIO Bulletin, the project aims to simplify administrative tasks while providing a robust repository of educational content for students in even the most remote areas.
The heart of this digital shift lies in the laireek.net portal, which serves as a massive library of resources. With contributions from nearly a thousand teachers, the site offers e-textbooks and detailed lessons for various subjects. Director of Education (S), Th. Kirankumar, shared that the department is even expanding its reach to platforms like JioTV and the national DIKSHA portal.
Reflecting on the deeper purpose of this mission, Minister Radheshyam stated: “Education is not only to gain knowledge but also to live and let others lead a meaningful life.”
As reporting by CIO Bulletin continues to track these developments, it is clear that Manipur is not just fighting a pandemic, it is building a resilient, tech-savvy future for its youth.
