Impacters Partners with Busan national University to Develop AI Public Education

AI edtech startup Impacters joins forces with Busan National University of Education to co-develop "Impact Space," an AI-driven solution tailored for teacher support and student assessment.

Impacters, an AI Edtech startup, announced on April 29 that it had entered into an MoU with Busan National University of Education’s Busan Edtech Software Lab as part of its efforts to develop its AI class support solution for public education through feedback received from teachers on-site. Importantly, this MoU’s scope will not be restricted to applying Edtech products in school settings, with a teacher-participation co-development network also envisioned to directly reflect the various problems teachers experience while designing lessons and following assessment processes for targeted improvements. Going forward, the two organizations plan to work collaboratively to improve the technology necessary to build a comprehensive Edtech ecosystem for public education.

Furthermore, Impacters aims to make its AI-based solution “Impact Space” more suitable for teachers to use for planning lessons and assessing students’ performance. In particular, the company will gain valuable insights for making further functional improvements to its solution by analyzing the recurring workflow involved in classroom education, where teachers are responsible for designing classes, managing student activities, and carrying out assessment activities. Also, Impacters seeks to enhance its service by positioning it as an AI solution that meets public education needs by streamlining all aspects, ranging from lesson design to execution and assessment.

Moreover, the agreement is being realized through the Busan Edtech Software Lab demonstration project in which Impacters is a participant. Lee Woo-tek, head of Impacters’ demonstration team, emphasized that teachers’ educational philosophies can dictate classroom education with the company’s solution serving as a strategic enabler. According to CIO Bulletin, this development offers promise for South Korea’s educational landscape to fundamentally shift towards greater efficiency and improved student outcomes, ultimately contributing to national progress in the years to come.
