The state of Andhra Pradesh recognizes the importance of travel and tourism by investing in tourism facilities, which includes hosting the 41st IATO conference in 2026 at Visakhapatnam.
Visakhapatnam will host the 41st Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) annual conference in 2026, declared Andhra Pradesh Tourism Special Chief Secretary Ajay Jain. At the 40th Annual Conference of IATO in Puri, Odisha, on 22-24 August, Jain made the announcement.
Jain pointed out the potential expansion in the sector of travel and tourism and spoke of the investment-friendly policies the state would make. He pointed out that Andhra Pradesh is granting incentives, concessions, and industrial status to tourism, making it a focus of future growth.
The 41st IATO conference is planned in Visakhapatnam, one of the major tourist destinations, in 2026, Jain said in an official release. He said that Andhra Pradesh intends to offer high-quality infrastructure, connectivity, and amenities to spur travel and tourism in the state.
The announcement is a measure by the state and central governments to enhance tourism development, especially with new airports and new infrastructure. Industry players consider this a significant step towards establishing Andhra Pradesh as a preferred tourist destination globally.
