Success in business often hides in the details. A few cents saved on every shipment. An invoice error caught before it multiplies. A contract renegotiated at the right time. Over months and years, these small wins become millions of dollars recovered and reinvested into growth. In a market where every margin matters and every decision is under scrutiny, companies that can uncover hidden costs and turn data into action are the ones that stand apart.
AFS Logistics has built its reputation on exactly that discipline. By blending deep industry experience with advanced analytics and a culture rooted in ethics and transparency, the company has emerged as a leader in helping organizations recover lost revenue, optimize logistics networks, and build stronger financial foundations. Its work in expense recovery and transportation optimization has positioned it as a defining force in the industry.
Founded in 1982 on the values of ethics, engagement, and excellence, AFS Logistics is one of the most experienced third party logistics providers in the industry. What began as a commitment to doing business the right way has grown into a nationwide organization serving more than 1,800 customers across seven locations, supported by over 380 logistics professionals. With access to more than 100,000 qualified carriers and decades of hands on experience, the company manages billions of dollars in freight and parcel spend annually while delivering measurable savings for its clients.
AFS operates with a clear purpose. Every engagement is designed around one metric that matters most: the client’s success. As the company often states, “Your success is our metric.”
Data that Drives Real Recovery
In logistics, data is abundant. What separates leaders from the rest is the ability to interpret it, apply it, and turn it into financial results. AFS has made analytics its competitive advantage.
The company protects and audits hundreds of millions of transportation invoices, managing tens of billions of dollars in freight spend each year. Through comprehensive auditing across freight, parcel, ocean, and post audit services, AFS identifies billing errors, overcharges, and hidden costs that would otherwise go unnoticed. In many cases, these recoveries extend years back, allowing clients to reclaim significant sums long after shipments were completed.
But AFS goes beyond simply catching errors. Its experts analyze cost structures, pricing trends, shipment data, and contract terms to uncover systemic inefficiencies. This approach does not just recover money. It prevents future losses and builds a smarter, more resilient logistics framework.
By combining advanced systems with seasoned professionals who understand the nuances of transportation billing, AFS ensures that clients gain both protection and proactive cost control. Expense recovery is no longer reactive. It becomes a strategic advantage.
Smarter LTL and Freight Control
Less than truckload freight presents a different set of challenges. Fragmented carrier markets, dynamic pricing, and special delivery requirements demand precision and agility. AFS manages over a billion dollars in LTL spend each year while providing clients access to more than one hundred qualified carriers.
Through shipment automation and advanced transportation management systems, the company brings consistency and control to an often unpredictable segment. Its cost management strategies help businesses optimize spend while improving service capabilities. For partial truckload and volume LTL shipments, AFS captures dynamic rates and strengthens carrier relationships to ensure reliable performance.
Specialized services such as enhanced freight audit, claims management for overages, shortages, and damages, and automated cargo value coverage further reduce risk and liability. Each shipment becomes part of a carefully engineered system designed to protect profitability and improve operational flow.
Transportation Management Built for Growth
Expense recovery is powerful, but it is only one piece of the puzzle. Sustainable success requires a logistics network that can adapt, scale, and perform in competitive markets. AFS provides comprehensive transportation management services to fill gaps, expand buying strategies, and optimize tactical plans.
Through managed transportation, freight brokerage, and freight forwarding, clients gain access to broader carrier networks and capacity at favorable market rates. Experienced advisors simplify the complexities of domestic and international shipping, helping businesses reduce both cost and administrative burden.
Network design and engineering services bring a strategic lens to logistics planning. By analyzing shipment patterns, distribution models, and carrier performance, AFS develops data driven strategies that increase efficiency and support long term growth. Advanced systems, buying power, and operational excellence work together without overloading internal teams.
Transparency remains central to every engagement. Clients maintain visibility into performance metrics and results, reinforcing trust and accountability. The company’s business model is intentionally built around openness, ensuring that decision making is collaborative and measurable.
A Culture of Talent, Speed, and Integrity
Behind the technology and analytics stands a team of experienced professionals. Many bring backgrounds from major global organizations, combining best in class thinking with the agility of a nimble, technology enabled firm. With more than four decades of industry leadership and long average client tenure, AFS has proven that relationships built on trust and measurable value endure.
Its growth through strategic acquisitions reflects a philosophy of acquiring people and technology that enhance capability and innovation. By continually investing in talent and systems, AFS remains prepared to meet evolving client expectations in an increasingly connected marketplace.
AFS Logistics has shown that true innovation in expense recovery is not about a single tool or service. It is about integrating data, expertise, and transparency into every aspect of logistics. It is about recovering what others overlook and transforming insight into sustained advantage.
For organizations navigating complex supply chains and tightening margins, AFS offers more than support. It offers partnership, protection, and performance. In doing so, the company continues to redefine what is possible in logistics optimization and measurable savings, proving that when experience meets analytics, success is not left to chance.
