JCR Pharmaceuticals launches Phase III study of JR-142, a long acting growth hormone therapy in pediatric patients with growth hormone deficiency to decrease the frequency of treatment.
The long-acting growth hormone treatment JR-142, being developed by JCR Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd., is on the way to being approved following Phase III clinical trial for pediatric growth hormone deficiency. The first patient was dosed in Japan, inventing a major milepost for the company in this momentous initiative.
This trial is 54 pediatric patients and aims at efficacy comparison of JR-142 and JCR's existing product, Growject®, while the 52-week period will involve observed development measurement on the project patients.
As highlighted by Professor Noriyuki Namba, medical involved in the trial, JR-142 will conveniently make treatment once a week instead of daily, thus lessening the burden for children and families.
Expansion of growth hormone therapeutic innovations continues from JCR Pharmaceuticals in pursuance of international high-quality pharmaceuticals in enhancing treatment options for patients.
