Company bags major order for a 500 MW solar PV project in Gujarat, driving share price growth.
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy has seen a significant surge in its share price, jumping over 6% after the company secured a major ₹1,200-crore solar project in Gujarat. The stock rallied as much as 6.81%, reaching ₹471.00 per share on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), marking a strong positive shift in its performance.
This new order comes in the form of a Letter of Intent (LoI) for the Design, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of the Balance of System (BOS) for a 500 MW (AC) Solar PV project. In addition to the EPC work, the contract includes comprehensive Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services for three years, further boosting the company's growth prospects.
The company’s Global CEO, Amit Jain, expressed confidence in India’s growing renewable energy sector, noting, “India is one of the world's largest energy markets and must therefore focus on sustainable options to mitigate climate challenges while strengthening energy security, job creation, and economic growth. We remain confident about the future growth of India’s renewable energy sector and our increasing role in supporting it.”
