Navguide Solutions is a pioneering Indian startup that uses technology to improve seafarer training for people all over the world.

The Directorate General of Shipping is praising the Indian maritime startup, Navguide Solutions, for the major impact it’s making on global seafarer training. Based on new ideas and understanding, the startup is changing the way seafarers are trained through useful technology.

With ClassNK’s support for the Guide2Inspections App, as well as gamified guidance and learning videos, Navguide has helped many seafarers all over the world. The use of SIRE 2.0 and Rightship standards, as well as the startup’s tools, closes important gaps in learning when joining the company.

During the forty years that the startup has existed, it has attained ClassNK certification and been endorsed by INTERTANKO. Kuwait Oil Tanker Company and Mitsui OSK Lines are among the leading shipping companies to use its solutions.

Partnering with Mintra, Seably, and ISF, Navguide was selected as a finalist at The Captain’s Table in Hong Kong. Recently, the founder of The LINA, Capt. Debashis Basu, was awarded the CMMI Founders’ Innovation Award 2025 and honored by Lloyd’s Maritime Institute.
