Agro Tech Partnership Sets Soybean Yield Record

The agro tech program is collaborative, which yields a higher record of non-irrigated soybean yield along with the promotion of conservation-based farming practices.

Agro tech innovations in the current farming world have resulted in veterinarian grower to Veteran Chris Weaver of Hickory Hollow Farms setting a new world record on non-irrigated soybean yield. Crops were produced with a no-till system based on a combined biological, foliar, and nutrient-efficiency program and gave 154.98 bushels per acre yield.

This was as a result of a partnership of a year with Weaver and three agro tech firms, namely Locus Agriculture, Concept AgriTek, and AgroTech USA. Combining the level of their products' biological and foliar nutrition and advanced phosphorus efficiency technologies, they were used in conditions supportive to the plant health, root development, and withering capability throughout the growing season.

Weaver stated that field-ready solutions to problems, rather than experimentation, initiated success. The program illustrated that the agro tech alliances are able to increase yield potential without affecting the conservation methods like no-till and non-irrigated farming.

The results were verified independently, as weight checks and compliance were controlled by the member of the Maryland Grain Producers Association, Melvin Baile. The observers pointed out that the crop was well agronomically planned and that it was managed in-season.

The industry analysts indicated that the record highlights the scalability of the agro tech solutions integrating biologicals, foliar nutrition, and chemistry of particularly low-proportion nutrients used in inorganic substances. The strategy fits into the conventional farm machinery and general practices, and thus it is available to farmers all over the country who want greater productivity, as well as environmental land stewardship.
