Leaked architectural sketches unveil a stunning redesign for Toyota’s iconic Hilux and Fortuner, blending bold aesthetics with brand-new interiors.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor is all set to revolutionize automotive architecture with the 2026 Hilux and Fortuner. These vehicles, despite their enduring popularity in India, are set for a breathtaking overhaul. Leaked design sketches of the next-gen Hilux, possibly dubbed Hilux Travo, reveal a striking exterior and interior transformation that could reshape the Fortuner’s design narrative as well.
The Hilux’s exterior architecture is a master class in bold elegance. Sleek LED headlights, accented by eyebrow-like DRLs, frame a commanding grille. A sculpted bumper integrates an ADAS radar, while a sleek plaque linking the headlights may proudly display “TOYOTA.” The side profile retains its rugged silhouette but gains flair with redesigned alloy wheels, and the rear is set to dazzle with modern LED tail lights.
Inside, the Hilux’s interior design steals the spotlight. A reimagined dashboard anchors a 12-14 inch infotainment screen, complemented by a 10-inch digital cluster. Quadrilateral AC vents, artfully repositioned, add a contemporary edge, while an electronic parking brake elevates the upscale center console. Designers hint at luxurious touches like ventilated seats and a potential head-up display.
The Fortuner is expected to embrace this sophisticated interior architecture, with exterior cues likely to follow. Powered by a 2.8L turbo diesel, possibly with a mild hybrid twist, Toyota’s iconic duo is ready to set new benchmarks in automotive design.
