Dell Unveils ‘AI India Blueprint’ to Power the Nation’s Artificial Intelligence Future

At the India AI Impact Summit 2026, Dell Technologies calls for a national strategy to scale AI infrastructure, talent, and governance.

India’s artificial intelligence ambitions just received a major push. At the India AI Impact Summit 2026, Dell Technologies introduced its “AI India Blueprint,” a detailed roadmap aimed at helping the country scale AI infrastructure responsibly and efficiently.

The blueprint urges India to move beyond small pilot projects and treat artificial intelligence as core national infrastructure, much like earlier large-scale digital platforms. As AI adoption grows across industries, demand for computing power is expected to rise sharply, with workloads projected to grow nearly 30% each year until 2030. By the end of the decade, the country’s data centres could consume up to 8% of India’s electricity.

Dell recommends setting clear national targets for computing capacity, expanding energy-efficient data centres, and strengthening domestic electronics manufacturing. It also stresses the importance of making advanced computing accessible not just to large corporations, but also to startups, universities, and public institutions.

Talent development is another key focus. Dell estimates India may need close to one million AI professionals by 2030. The company suggests integrating AI education into mainstream learning and expanding innovation hubs beyond major cities.

“India is at a pivotal moment in scaling AI,” said Vivek Mohindra, Senior Vice President at Dell Technologies. Manish Gupta, President and Managing Director of Dell Technologies India, added that infrastructure readiness and strong security frameworks will determine how quickly AI moves from experimentation to real-world deployment. For India, the message is clear: artificial intelligence is not just the future, it is a national priority demanding action today.
