Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging with MN8 Energy aims to develop electric vehicle infrastructure, providing fast charging convenience at Starbucks.
Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging, to install 400 kW DC fast chargers working together with MN8 Energy at Starbuck stores along the US coast west. The goal of this initiative is to encourage the use of electric vehicles (EVs) throughout the region and runs the entire length of Interstate 5 (I-5) from Canada to Mexico.
All EV brands are compatible with these fast chargers, which supports Mercedes-Benz Group AG's commitment to electric mobility and helps create a public charging network that EV owners may use. Andrew Cornelia, president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging, conveyed optimism about the project, visualizing a future where EV charging becomes as convenient as enjoying coffee at Starbucks.
Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging has rapidly expanded since launching its first North American charging site in Georgia last year, launching multiple 400 kW EV charging locations across several southern states. The company plans to continue this expansion, aiming to cover nearly half of all US states with its DC fast charging network within the next 12-18 months.
The main intention behind the plan is to provide easily-accessible charging solutions while promoting sustainable transportation options for an eco-friendly future.
