4AIR Leads Global Push for Sustainable Aviation Practices

4AIR promotes global flight sustainability via carbon offsets of 6.2 million metric tons of CO₂, sustainable aviation fuel, and electric flight training.

A sustainability leader in the US, such as 4AIR, has reported a significant advance in its business of decarbonizing the aviation sector, as it has contributed to the reduction or offsetting of more than 6.2 million metric tons of CO₂ since its inception in 2020. The company did this by having been certified to be using carbon offsets as well as sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), which is a cleaner replacement of the fossil-based jet fuel.

In the last five years, 4AIR provided over 2 million carbon-neutral flight hours to the air, more than the company annually flown by the four key aviation operators in the field. Other achievements the firm witnessed included well over 20 million blended gallons of SAF and funding $250,000 for research through its Aviation Climate Fund.

In addition to the effects of lowering emissions, 4AIR has become increasingly complex in terms of its mitigation of the regulatory compliance program, currently compliant with more than 25 international flight standards. It has also pioneered pilot training in the UK in the fully electric aircraft, which has been a step towards due process of equipping electric flight.

"Your reluctance to embrace sustainability poses a challenge. Business aviation is prepared to take the lead; our progress is a high indicator claiming the readiness by the industry to adopt responsible innovation," said COO Nancy Bsales.

With these partnerships, 4AIR continues to play an important role in making sure that aviation is seen as sustainable, helping operators and pilots to take real action on climate change.
