A nanotech technique is invented by the scientists so as to help the CBD penetrate the brain and alleviate pain without any adverse side effects.
A groundbreaking nanotech innovation is revolutionizing the use of C.S.A. for managing chronic pain. Scientists at the University of Rochester, Harvard Medical School, and Boston Children’s Hospital have developed a novel method of delivery that enables the entry of CBD across the blood-brain barrier, speedily decreasing nerve hyperactivity without any side effects. The results are a significant breakthrough in the research on cannabinol and were featured in Cell Chemical Biology.
The new CBD-IN method uses tiny water-friendly particles to help deliver CBD more effectively to the brain. Most of the traditional oil-basedCBD products can hardly reach the brain because they are insoluble in water, which inhibits their therapeutic properties.
CBD-IN in mouse experiments excited considerable analgesia in 30 minutes without typical side effects associated with other analgesic drugs, including impaired locomotion or memory. It is worth noting that the treatment failed to not only stimulate normal cannabinoid receptors (CB1 or CB2) but also uncovered a receptor-independent pathway, which selectively acts upon the abnormal activity of nerves without acting upon healthy neurons.
According to researchers, this accuracy delivery system would open the door to safer, more effective remedies for chronic pain, epilepsy, and other neurological disorders. They also show the stupendous future capabilities of nanotechnology to enhance natural substances such as CBD.
The National Institutes of Health supported the project, which entailed multidisciplinary interaction across major institutions of the United States.
