Arkatechture: Harvard’s Data Analytics Partner

Harvard federal credit union taps arkatechture to break down data silos and drive growth through cloud native analytics and specialized financial intelligence

On May 11, Harvard Federal Credit Union (FCU) selected Arkatechture, a leading provider of data analytics solutions for financial institutions, as its data analytics partner. With this collaboration, Harvard seeks to use Arkatechture’s Arkalytics platform to unify data, streamline reporting, and strengthen data-driven decision-making across the organization. As part of its expansion efforts and advancements in digital and data transformation initiatives, Harvard FCU sought to address the challenges of siloed data, manual reporting processes, and limited access to actionable insights by partnering with a firm that possesses technical and financial institution expertise, scalable technology, and a collaborative approach to operations.

According to Kriti Modi, Chief Information Officer at Harvard FCU, “Like many financial institutions, our data exists across multiple systems, including our core banking system, digital banking, lending platforms, and other ancillary sources. Creating a more connected data environment will help us better leverage insights to make informed business decisions.” Harvard eventually settled on Arkatechture as its partner, with the latter’s specialized focus on credit unions and scalable, cloud-native Arkalytics data warehouse and business intelligence platforms being the standout features. The platform offers a quicker path to building a strong, flexible, and scalable data foundation by offering cloud-native data warehouse capabilities along with a prebuilt set of dashboards and reports designed for credit unions.

Furthermore, Tom Montilli, Chief Operating Officer at Harvard FCU, noted that the Arkatechture platform gives Harvard the confidence that its long-term strategies for more advanced analytics, automation, and data-driven growth would be ably supported by Arkatechture. In general, Harvard FCU aims to pull maximum value from this partnership by strengthening:

  • data strategy,

  • improving operational efficiency, and

  • helping insights across the organization get accessed more easily.

Its primary aims are to:

  • centralize data

  • reduce manual workflows

  • facilitate better-informed decision-making, and

  • deliver more personalized member experiences

Moreover, Modi sounded optimistic that the partnership will provide Harvard FCU with a solid database, thereby positioning it for long-term success. CIO Bulletin views the partnership as helping Harvard FCU’s teams acquire timely, reliable insights from a centralized truth source. Business lines will be able to make faster, more informed decisions with improved data access.
