Heartland Aviation uses TrustFlight MEL Manager software to develop efficient Document Process Management which guarantees compliance and enhances both operational efficiency and fleet performance.

TrustFlight’s Minimum Equipment List (MEL) Manager software is used by Heartland Aviation from Eau Claire, Wisconsin to optimize MEL procedures for their Bombardier Challenger 350 and Cessna Citation Sovereign planes.

Most operators working with MEL documentation used word processing systems from Microsoft Word before this implementation. Operating MELs with word processors such as Microsoft Word resulted in system failures and data corruption from the multiple requirements and complex sizes MELs possess. Operation delays and regulatory violations combined with frustrated maintenance personnel resulted from these system issues.

The MEL process automation from TrustFlight’s MEL Manager decreases manual mistakes while maintaining MEL documents compliant with all current regulations. TrustFlight MEL Manager provides smooth integration of MEL information between operational systems and safety systems which enables departments to work with accurate data. Better teamwork develops through the centralized interface by improving communication between departments who work on maintenance activities.

The safety and reliability mission has always been core to Heartland Aviation according to director of operations Cory Haupt. The implementation of TrustFlight’s MEL Manager gives us better control of our Document Process Management functions to maintain compliant operations and security protocols and efficiency at a high level while diminishing potential flight operation errors.

The update enables Heartland Aviation to operate its fleet management procedures more effectively while preserving the maximum level of safety standards.
