IFS and Siemens introduce a new generation EAM-based grid solution to ensure the infrastructure is up-to-date and more resilient.
IFS have collaborated with Siemens in a strategic partnership to implement a more modern electrical grid management through an advanced electric solution developed on the basis of EAM. The partnership implies an increasing industry trend towards the inclusion of element EAM and operational intelligence and energy transition needs in crucial infrastructure.
The collaborative effort puts forward a cloud-ready modular system that enhances the performance of the grids without the replacement of the old environments. IFS also implements its experience in EAM, field services management, and asset investment planning, whereas Siemens implements its strengths in electrification, network planning, and its platform named Gridscale X. All these solutions aim to address the challenges of aging assets, supply chain constraints, and the growing demands of renewable energy integration.
The collaboration goes further to develop self-managing network systems that lead to real-time optimization and smooth management of connected resources. The integrated platform combines operational technologies and information systems to help manage the entire life cycle of the assets, from planning to implementation.
As IFS joins its modules in the Siemens Xcelerator marketplace, companies become quicker in getting innovation, scalability and resilient infrastructure strategies. The partnership is likely to enable industries to save operation costs and enhance decentralized forms of management.
The recent checklist of IFS being nominated as a leader of the 2025 Magic Quadrant of Gartner only supports the idea that the company is strong in its EAM and AI-oriented roadmap. It now competes more with Siemens and large enterprise technology providers.
In an energy industry that is rapidly rolling out its digital transformation strategies, the key aspects of this EAM-based partnership will be the ability to integrate the given systems seamlessly, prepare its workforce, and record a tangible impact on operations.
