Bitsight appoints John Clancy as CEO, leveraging his 25 years of expertise in scaling software businesses and AI innovation to lead the company's next growth phase.
Bitsight, the global leader in cyber risk intelligence, has announced the appointment of John Clancy as its CEO, effective immediately. Succeeding Steve Harvey, Clancy brings more than 25 years of experience into the role and is tasked with continuing his predecessor’s legacy of establishing the company as a trusted partner to organizations worldwide. He has successfully built, transformed, and scaled operations of high-growth software businesses in his career, having served organizations in different capacities like CEO, President, and private equity creation leader. Companies have reported increased operational efficiency and expanded to new markets under his watch.
Furthermore, Clancy would transition to his new role of Chief Executive Officer from his previous position as Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Operations at PSG Equity, where he founded and led the value creation team. Additionally, PSG’s AI strategy of helping companies launch new products and improve operational performance was designed and executed by Clancy, who led PSG’s Senior Advisor Network of over 30 CEOs. According to Bob Brennan, Chair of Bitsight’s Board of Directors, “Clancy is a proven growth leader who knows how to scale organizations, drive innovation, and lead through periods of transformation”.
Moreover, Clancy expressed his eagerness to work with Bitsight in shaping the future of cybersecurity. In his words, “I’m honored to work with the team as we build on our strong foundation, accelerate innovation, and deliver even greater value to customers worldwide”. CIO Bulletin views Clancy as the ideal candidate to lead Bitsight’s operations following his expertise in driving companies’ growth, improving their operations, and innovating with AI.
