From ultra-fast refresh rates to glasses-free 3D, the company’s latest innovations signal the future of gaming and VFX experiences
Samsung Electronics has once again secured its position as the world’s leading gaming monitor brand, marking an impressive seventh consecutive year at the top. According to International Data Corporation (IDC), Samsung gaming monitors have captured 18.9% of the global gaming monitor market by revenue, while also leading the OLED segment with a 26% share for the third year in a row.
This continued dominance reflects Samsung’s strong focus on delivering cutting-edge gaming and visual effects (VFX) experiences. At GDC 2026 in San Francisco, the company unveiled its latest Odyssey lineup, showcasing innovations like glasses-free 3D, ultra-high refresh rates, and stunning HDR performance, features designed to bring games closer to reality than ever before.

Notably, the Odyssey G6 pushes boundaries with a remarkable 1,040Hz refresh rate, catering to competitive esports players.
Esports icon Lee 'Faker' Sang-hyeok highlighted the brand’s impact, stating that consistent top rankings show gamers trust Samsung for performance when it matters most.
