Japan has launched "Digital Positive Action" as an anti-disinformation collaboration with Google and 18 other groups to protect credible content online and create digitization safety measures.
As part of their digital initiative the Japanese government launched "Digital Positive Action" to address online disinformation. The communications ministry heads "Digital Positive Action" as 19 collaborating organizations pursue website development alongside educational countermeasures against fake information under project direction.
This initiative studies how profit-focused entities use deceptive content to boost engagement and bring in advertising revenue. Through joint collaboration between public institutions and private corporations Japan strives to deliver truthful information and teach users methods to spot and avoid deceptive content.
Hideto Kawasaki from Japan's Parliamentary Communications Ministry stressed the urgent requirement to build a protected digital infrastructure. According to Keio University professor Tatsuhiko Yamamoto society must change its approach toward seeking attention that causes harm. Through this initiative Japan aims to decrease the destructive consequences of false information spread through online platforms.
