Kolon Benit Advances SAP Migration Capabilities

Kolon Benit implements the selective migration technology to hasten SAP S/4HANA migration undertakings.

Kolon Benit has managed to implement selective data migration technology in its internal environment that is at EPI-USE Labs and has started to deploy it in the client environments of SAP systems. The company is also in the process of driving a large-scale transition initiative with one of the largest Korean food companies, which requires their current SAP HCM on-premise system to be retreated to an S/4HANA PCE landscape. The plan should be ready within a year.

This project is a follow-up to the collaboration with EPI-USE Labs last year, which resulted in efficiency and stability throughout the SAP S/4HANA transition portfolio by Kolon Benit. The internalization has enabled the company to produce an automated system that will upgrade and transmit only necessary data by migrating, verifying and tracking information systems significant in terms of minimizing the rates of migration errors and timelines.

Another tool that Kolon Benit has deployed is Data Sync Manager, which is an EPI-USE Labs tool that is SAP certified and chooses only non-PII data to protect privacy in sensitive HR and payroll migrations. This reduces business discontinuities when performing massive upgrades to SAP systems.

The company will further widen the application of this technology to companies that are in the process of undergoing multifaceted ERP changes, particularly those with multiple legal structures or system environments triggered by merger and acquisition activity. It offers benefits such as improved ERP settings and lower costs of cloud subscriptions.

The ITS division executive director Jung Ju-young stated that the company has been enhancing its competence and will proceed in providing global standard ERP and SAP transition services in Korea.
