CyberArk and AWS empower identity & access management with zero standing privileges for securing sensitive information in both cloud and developer ecosystems.
CyberArk and AWS unveiled their new IAM initiative at CyberArk Impact 2025, with a focus on implementing zero standing privileges to improve security. Due to the need for rapid updates, developers are given special access that can lead to security problems. CyberArk and AWS have teamed up to make sure system access is granted only when needed and then revoked immediately once done.
Mike Bykat, Global Solutions Director at CyberArk, highlighted the importance of making sure IAM doesn’t interfere with developers’ smooth work experience. He pointed out that having fewer credentials helps regulated companies like those in finance and healthcare manage fewer reviews and challenges.
Raj Kulkarni, an AWS Security Architect, mentioned that their framework enables CyberArk and other partners to offer temporary higher permissions for users, ensuring effective IAM without always needing to grant permanent access. This strategy is meant to protect both people and the new wave of machine identities.
Their collaboration is designed to ensure the cloud is safe and error-free for developers. Identity & access management risks have increased which is why the solution promises greater speed, security and compliance.
The joint effort between CyberArk and AWS emphasizes moving to proactive IAM which helps businesses better manage access to sensitive data. By relying on zero standing privilege in cybersecurity, Zero Second Network shows a workable way to keep identity & access management strong.
