True leadership begins where faith shapes purpose, wellness fuels clarity, and service becomes a way of life. The most impactful women leaders do not simply build organizations; they build people, uplift families, and inspire communities to live healthier, more meaningful lives. This belief stands at the heart of Nu Wonderful U LLC, a purpose-driven organization rooted in faith, balance, and transformation. At the center of its mission is Rev. Dr. Fredina Usher Weems, whose leadership blends compassion with action and spirituality with everyday living.

Dr. Fredina brings complete wellness from head to soul, nurturing spirit, mind, and body with unwavering dedication. Their shared story is rooted in deep family ties: a friendship between their parents that spanned over forty years blossomed into a joint business venture, and through the faithful prayers of their mothers, Byron and Rev. Dr. Fredina found each other in marriage. Today, they pour that same foundation of love and faith into their work, living out a joyful commitment to Jesus, family, fitness, and fun (JFFF).

Interview Highlights
Rev. Dr. Fredina Usher Weems, your journey beautifully weaves faith, wellness, education, and leadership. What was the defining moment that inspired you to found Nu Wonderful U LLC?
The defining moment that inspired me to found Nu Wonderful U LLC was the realization that my family members’ lifestyle choices led to acute and chronic diseases. Therefore, at the age of 12, I began leading neighborhood workouts at my parents’ daycare. Over time, my passion for health and wellness evolved into a lifelong mission rooted in health, faith, and self-worth. I always believed in empowering women to recognize their value, and today my work reflects that belief by combining wellness coaching and inspirational music to support emotional balance, confidence, and a deeper spiritual walk. Nu Wonderful U continues to reflect its dedication to guiding women toward holistic well-being.
As a woman of faith leading in the wellness and lifestyle space, what challenges have you faced in aligning spiritual values with professional wellness services, and how have those challenges strengthened you as a leader?
As long as I interact within the business environment and view competitors, customers, and associates from a nonjudgmental perspective within a freedom-of-choice country, I maintain a healthy, holistic balance that aligns spiritual values with professional values and wellness services.
Nu Wonderful U LLC promotes a holistic JFFF (Jesus, Family, Fitness, and Fun) lifestyle. How has this philosophy guided your leadership decisions and influenced the culture you’ve built within your organization?
My philosophy, JFFF (Jesus, Family, Fitness, and Fun), practiced in humility, helps me maintain my sanity. It also reminds me to live mindfully, aware of daily personal and professional circumstances, foreseen and unforeseen. Finally, it keeps me rooted in remembering that I am not a superhero; therefore, the leadership decisions I make are authentically implemented with sincere influence toward the health and well-being of the culture and the diverse population within our community, society, and nation.
Your products, from God’s Divine Wellness Plan to Transformation: Your Wellness Journey, address the spirit, soul, and body. What makes your approach to wellness distinctly different from conventional health and fitness programs?
Our health and wellness services passionately address the total well-being (spirit, soul, and body) of women of all ages, tailored to each woman’s unique lifestyle design and journey.
Nu Wonderful U LLC serves diverse audiences, including corporations, schools, families, and faith-based communities. How do you tailor your wellness retreats and programs to meet the unique needs of each group while maintaining a unified mission?
Tailoring the programs to meet the unique needs of each group, while maintaining a unified mission, is not complicated when you keep each individual’s individuality (personality, character, will, and desires) in mind, collectively as a group and individually during one-on-one interactions by acknowledging their needs. The separate voices of health and wellness needs are harmonized and unified within the group’s mantra affirmations.
As an academic educator, wellness advocate, and public speaker, how do you balance these roles while staying grounded in purpose and personal wellness?
I am able to balance these roles under God’s grace. Also, my choice to stay flexible to meet the needs of clients, the organization, the school system, and public speaking engagements or academic requirements, while being rooted in my self-confidence, beliefs, and determination to help others, allows me to simply be the best version of myself possible.
Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond, what is next for Nu Wonderful U LLC? Are there any new programs, services, or products in development that clients and partners should be excited about?
My personal and professional visions radiate from a desire and compassion to use my God-given talents, abilities, health, and wellness experiences to educate and be a role model, simply being the best me possible, as I inspire and motivate others to develop and maintain a self-disciplined, healthy lifestyle. My mission is rooted in my faith-based background and my free will to pursue health and well-being for myself, my family, friends, staff, clients, and whoever’s path I cross. I believe that being a doer of health and wellness provides a visual example that inspires others to recognize the necessity of self-care. Keeping in mind that I am not perfect, I am simply living the slogan, “simply being the best me possible.” We are all uniquely designed, therefore fearfully and wonderfully made, without carbon copies; thus, I am differentiating myself from the norm.
Moving forward, the wellness focus will be on helping women maintain self-care in soul care, self-acceptance, and the practice of saying no respectfully. This allows women to release the stress and pressure of trying to be everything to everyone, without risking their health.
As a featured leader in “Best Women Leaders to Watch 2026”, what advice would you offer to women who feel called to lead but hesitate to step forward due to fear, faith, or societal expectations?
I would simply remind them that perfection is not required to lead with purpose. I encourage women of all ages to recognize their unique gifts and talents and to use them to positively impact their families, communities, and personal journeys. By fostering faith, humility, and teachability, I inspire others to step into leadership roles with confidence while remaining grounded in service and compassion. Remember, your lifestyle journey is just that, yours. Therefore, accept constructive criticism and shake off the rest while “simply being the best me possible,” not Superwoman.
Finally, what legacy do you hope to build through Nu Wonderful U LLC, not just as a company, but as a movement for holistic, faith-driven wellness?
A healthy legacy that I hope to build through Nu Wonderful U LLC (personal and professional) will reflect love, compassion, and discipline, and will offer leadership skills that blend faith, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to holistic wellness. This can be visualized through personal trials, professional growth, and a deep-rooted belief in purpose-driven living. I will continue to redefine what success truly means in 2026 and beyond. My leadership is not only measured by business achievements but by the lives I have been blessed to transform through empowerment, compassion, and authenticity. As Founder of Nu Wonderful U LLC, I stand and shine as a guiding light for women seeking balance, confidence, and self-worth, proving that true leadership begins with simply being the best version of oneself.
