Streamlining the immigration process for families and providing accurate legal counsel—Global Immigration Law

They say all you need is a doctor and a lawyer in the family to be on the safe side. That may be true, given that both can save your life. What’s important is that you have these two professionals by your side when you need them most.

When it comes to immigration cases, having a lawyer beside you makes all the difference because treading through the infinitely complex system without a competent attorney could seal your fate and end your life in the country you want to migrate to.

Many immigrants arriving in other countries are unfamiliar with immigration laws and seek advice from friends, relatives, translators, or notaries. They frequently obtain flawed statistics and, as a result, face severe difficulties in the future when applying for permanent residence, citizenship, family reunions, etc.

Before you follow any unprofessional advice, think about what it may cost you. In many cases, it is worth a consultation with a professional who knows exactly how to help you and will prepare for the upcoming steps necessary to be taken to achieve desirable immigration results.

One of the law firms to help you with your immigration process is Global Immigration Law. The following excerpts were taken from a conversation with Emel Yilmaz, CEO of Global Immigration Law

Q. Why is legal movement guidance essential today? Please give us some context.

The importance of legal services is unquestionable because, especially in our sector, immigration, people do not know their rights and regulations. It is a very sensitive subject because entire families depend on accurate legal guidance. If they do not receive accurate and competent services, their lives may be upside down. For instance, with correct legal and immigration advice, the individuals may continue their lives in the UK, whether a spouse or the father/mother of a child born in the UK. However, if they do not receive accurate guidance, they might fall apart, and their visa might be rejected more than once.

Furthermore, their expansion, branching, or starting a new company solely depends on proper and professional legal counseling for the corporates. If competent legal guidance is provided, they might grow, expand, or start trading in the UK; however, unprofessional and incompetent advice might also cause severe financial losses and opportunities.

In brief, please tell us about your services.

We are working mainly with corporate clients that would like to set up their business in the UK or are already present in the UK but would like to expand their business with new talents and specialists. Apart from our corporate clients, we also provide immigration solutions to highly qualified immigrants, artists, academicians, IT specialists, and applicants who are graduates of STEM fields.

We offer sponsorship license application and management services, visa consultancy services regarding skilled worker visas, Global Business Mobility Visa routes (announced in April 2022, which is formerly known as Overseas Business Representative Visa and other business visa routes), Startup Visa, Innovator Visa, High Potential Individual Visa, Global Talent Visa, Scale Up Visa, etc.

Q. How are your legal movement guidance services better than others?

Our profession is touching people’s lives in its essence. Working in the immigration sector means that you help your clients to start a new life in a completely different country. To be honest, it is quite moving, that is why we take our job very seriously without losing touch with our clients. We have provided immaculate, professional services with our knowledge in the immigration sector for more than a decade. We always pay extra attention to building a good rapport with our clients. We are responsive to their legal and immigration needs immediately.

On the other hand, we provide our corporate clients with the best service for immigration matters. For example, some companies would like to expand in the UK; opening their branches require immigration settlement, bringing qualified employees, or applying for their sponsorship license are some of the services that we provide for them.

Q. How do you ensure that your rates are affordable for your clients and customers?

We can state that we have quite affordable rates for our clients compared to our competitors because we receive many client calls complaining about the high rates of other companies while providing no positive outcome. We only charge our clients when we open their visa application file and require no hourly rates, only one fixed expense for the administration you need ensuring that you are responsible for costs.

Q. What troubles families during immigration? How do you ensure that the process of immigration is smooth for the families?

What troubles families during immigration is primarily the waiting process for the outcome. Especially for family, routes to the UK might take some time. It used to take 6-8 weeks; however, since the visa applications of Ukrainian refugees are prioritized, according to the announcement of the Home Office now, it might take 12-24 weeks for the visa applications to be finalized.

Therefore, the waiting period takes longer than expected, and when it comes to families, it can be emotionally frustrating for them. To ease the process for them, we provide our constant support and communication with them during this time. We are willing to take all necessary steps to obtain a positive result for them.

Q. How has the current Russia-Ukraine war affected the immigration space?

The immigration sector, especially visa processes in the UK, has been immensely affected by the Russia-Ukraine War. Since many Ukrainian refugees seek asylum in the UK, their visa applications have been prioritized, and other visa application waiting periods have increased. For example, the waiting process for spouse visas has risen from 6-8 weeks to 8-12 weeks. On the other hand, Home Office issued some concessions for Ukrainian refugees. For example, the government launched The Homes for Ukraine scheme on 14 March 2022. This scheme allows people living in the UK to sponsor a named Ukrainian national or family to come to live in the UK with them, providing they have suitable accommodation to offer.

Q. The pandemic affected every industry over the past two years. How was it working through the pandemic?

Like most other sectors, the immigration sector took a hit during the pandemic; however, we continued our applications. During the pandemic, the Home Office has digitized the whole application system, making it relatively easier to make applications. On the other hand, the immigration sector recovered quickly after the travel restrictions and lockdowns were removed.

Even in 2020, there have been so many applications, especially from Turkey, that even Home Office couldn’t handle the high number of applications. There are still visa applications from 2020 that are waiting for the conclusions. We can understand that pandemics and other factors restricted travel but not immigration. This year, we can see that our sector is recovering quite fast since we are making a lot of applications for companies, skilled workers, entrepreneurs, investors, and corporates.
