On Tuesday, Punchbowl News, the congressional news firms based in D.C. released a new website that links stand-alone articles making it easier for people to find content.

The D.C. based congressional news firm Punchbowl News released a new website with links to independent articles on Tuesday.

Punchbowl's content will be easier to find for others who might not be D.C. insiders, thanks to the digital expansion.

CEO Anna Palmer told Axios, that a dynamic website will also make it simpler for other media sites to quote and link to the stories they typically break three times a day or more.

The new website provides stand-alone article links to stories that are traditionally published in Punchbowl's emails, mirroring the pink and black logo of Punchbowl. All of the firm's free and paid newsletters going back to its founding are archived on the website. Visitors can browse free stories, but premium subscribers have access to extra material, including deep dives, reports, and surveys that are only available to them.

Punchbowl hopes that by creating standalone pages for each of its stories, users searching for news updates on search engines will be able to find the information.

Jake Sherman, Anna Palmer, and John Bresnahan, who co-founded Punchbowl News, departed Politico to start it in early 2021.The business, which has now grown to 21 full-time staff, has established a reputation as Capitol Hill's leading news source.

Punchbowl is expected to generate revenues of close to $20 million this year, up from $10 million in 2021.
