ZIGBANG Advances PropTech in Housing Subscriptions

ZIGBANG accelerates PropTech-using public housing utility through direct applications and PropTech eligibility diagnosis.

ZIGBANG Co., a South Korea-based company, has launched new functionality to streamline the process of subscribing to the state housing, which has become more relevant after years of rapid development in the PropTech industry of the country. As a part of this, the firm revealed that it would introduce a new feature called "apply for subscription" and would introduce a new feature called "subscription diagnosis service" in January.

The new apply-for-subscribe option enables users to directly transfer the housing complex information on the ZIGBANG platform to the real LH Subscription Plus form of the application process. To enhance the system that is seen as complicated and has many rules, this update is already present on the websites ZIGBANG and Hogangnono and aims to make it less frictional. The relocation is indicative of the shift toward usability-based, real-time access to public services that PropTech platforms are becoming more and more concerned with.

One of the main points of the overhaul is the proposed service of subscription diagnosis. The tool helps to evaluate the eligibility of a user to take a place in public housing depending on personal conditions, define appropriate types of subscription, and give instructions. As the company claims, this PropTech solution, in turn, will be very useful to the first-time applicants who have to deal with housing requirements.

ZIGBANG stated that the program aims to reduce user burden by decreasing the need for independent interpretation of complex regulations. Company leaders termed the update as a step in a longstanding direction of pain points within accessing public housing, undersharing the efforts of PropTech solutions in housing management and interactions with users in South Korea.
