ciobulletin - Godrej Expands Real Estate Footprint to Panipat

Godrej Properties invests in Panipat, launching a new residential real estate project of 1250 crores in North India.

Godrej Properties Ltd. has declared its first venture into the city of Panipat, Haryana, with a new plotted township residential space, which is its fourth project of that type in North India. Its major in the real estate business has acquired 43 acres in Sector 40, where it would develop the area and earn it revenue of more than 1250 crores.

The township will have about 1.02 million sq ft of the plotted areas, which will be strategically located with unhindered access to the national highway and close to the social infrastructure. According to Gaurav Pandey, the MD & CEO, the expansion is part of the strategy by Godrej in trying to enhance its real estate market in emerging countries.

This move follows the Bangalore success of the company where the organization sold more than 1,450 flats within a range of 2,000 crores. Another large township under development is Godrej MSR City, which is equally popular with good unlaunched inventory to be rolled out in the future as well.

Even though the general housing sales in the seven major cities in India reduced by 20% on a year-over-year basis in Q2 2025, a quarter-on-quarter growth of 3% offers some hope that the market will rebound. Scholars explain this by reference to the reduction of domestic uncertainties and better monetary policies.

Godrej Properties continues its leading position in the Indian real estate market as the consumer demand for integrated, well-connected, and well-thought-out residential communities stays strong.
