GIFT City Unveils Fintech Accelerator to Power Women-Led Startups

A new initiative aims to bridge funding gaps and help women entrepreneurs scale in India’s growing fintech ecosystem.

In a strong push toward inclusive startup growthGujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) has launched a dedicated accelerator program to support women-led fintech ventures. Introduced under the GIFT International Fintech Innovation Hub, the initiative is designed to help startups gain investment readiness and scale with confidence.

As highlighted by CIO Bulletin, the Women in Fintech Accelerator focuses on empowering founders with the right tools, guidance, and access to capital. The program begins with an in-person immersion at Ahmedabad, where participants will receive hands-on training in preparing for investments. This is followed by a virtual phase offering tailored investor interactions based on each startup’s stage and needs.

The accelerator aims to close the gap between promising women entrepreneurs and institutional investors by offering mentorship, curated networking opportunities, and personalized guidance. With fintech rapidly evolving, such initiatives are expected to unlock new opportunities for underrepresented founders.

Over the past year, the hub has already supported dozens of startups across sectors like digital banking, insurtech, and regtech. With this new accelerator, GIFT City is taking a meaningful step toward strengthening India’s startup ecosystem while ensuring women entrepreneurs play a leading role in shaping its future.
