On May 3, 2024, the inaugural voyage of the 'Parali' ferry successfully transported 160 passengers from the Lakshadweep Islands to the historic port of Mangalore in a mere seven hours. This remarkable achievement stands in stark contrast to the previous journey duration, which typically spanned a lengthy 13 hours.
