Angel Studios Announces New DAVID Animation Film

One of the most anticipated faith-based animation films with music, storytelling, and inspirations will be released during the holidays.

Angel Studios is ready to launch its second animation feature, DAVID, which will be released in theaters on December 19. Its new studio, which has registered good box office performance with King of Kings, has partnered with Sunrise Animation Studios, which has taken more than 10 years developing the project.

The creators made short animation clips titled Young DAVID even before the entire release that was released on the Angel Studios platform. The shorts allowed the team to perfect the art of character development and the telling of the story, receiving the backing of the early curves and positive family responses.

The multi-platinum artist Phil Wickham portrays the role of the adult David in the movie, and the younger David is played by actor-singer Brandon Engman. The musical score also featured the assistance of Yaron Cherniake, a Messianic Jew and musician in the band MIQEDEM who takes biblical verses and incorporates them in the music. His appearance brings cultural and spiritual sincerity to the soundtrack.

The animation film team hopes that the younger generation will be motivated by the film to confront challenges bravely like David did in his legendary narration. The film strives to cut across generations due to its incorporation of music, faith, and narration.

Sunrise Animation Studio reinforced the fact that it was very excited to finally release this many-year-long animation project in the world during the holiday season. Pre-sales of tickets are now underway, and this is in line with school break schedules and family viewing schedules.
