Advanced Avionics System Enhances Safety and Performance for European CJ1+/2+ Jets
RTX's Collins Aerospace has received certification approval from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for the Pro Line Fusion® integrated avionics system retrofit on Cessna Citation CJ1+ and CJ2+ aircraft registered in Europe. This approval marks a significant advancement for European operators of these jets, enabling them to upgrade to the state-of-the-art Pro Line Fusion system, which promises enhanced safety, improved performance, and greater efficiency.
"Clearing this certification hurdle is a major step forward in providing European CJ customers with a solution that not only enhances their aircraft operations but can also extend the life and functionality of an aircraft," said Nathan Voight, vice president and general manager of Business and Regional Avionics at Collins Aerospace. "This milestone underscores Collins' commitment to supporting the global network of CJ operators with the flight deck technology that makes operations safer, more efficient, and predictable each and every flight."
The Pro Line Fusion system's modularity and intuitive technology integration significantly reduce pilot workload by providing real-time data, enhanced visual clarity, and operational predictability, especially during critical flight stages. As European airspace modernizes, the Fusion system's advanced features enable precision approaches, efficient flight paths, and accurate positioning, even in remote areas, allowing pilots to navigate complex airspace regulations confidently.
A demonstration of the Pro Line Fusion system is available at the Collins Aerospace booth K72 during the 2024 EBACE show in Geneva, Switzerland. This milestone reflects Collins Aerospace's ongoing dedication to advancing aviation technology and supporting the evolving needs of the global aviation community.
