As hundreds of drones darken the skies, Ukraine’s urban centers struggle under the weight of a coordinated aerial offensive.
The silence of the night in southeastern Ukraine was shattered this morning by one of the most intensive aerial bombardments since the conflict began. A coordinated Russian strike on Ukraine kills four citizens and has left at least 30 others fighting for their lives. Reporters at CIO Bulletin have been monitoring the situation as rescue teams scramble to pull survivors from the twisted remains of apartment blocks in the city of Dnipro.
The scale of the attack was staggering. Ukraine’s air force confirmed that Moscow deployed a swarm of 619 drones and 47 missiles in a single wave. While defense systems intercepted the majority of the hardware, the sheer volume of the "barrage" meant that several high-occupancy buildings were hit directly.
In Dnipro, the scene was one of localized devastation. Two bodies were recovered from a smoldering residential complex, while regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha warned that five more residents likely remain trapped beneath the concrete rubble. Further north in Chernihiv, two more lives were lost as missiles struck civilian infrastructure.
The tragedy has reignited urgent pleas for international support. Reflecting on the resilience of his people and the desperate need for better protection, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy issued a poignant reminder to the global community:
"Every strike like this must remind our partners that the situation needs immediate and firm action, rapid strengthening of our air defenses."
As the dust settles, the focus remains on the survivors. For the families in Dnipro, the morning brought not just the sun, but a grim reality of loss and a long road to recovery.
