Blackstone Takes 65% Stakes in Jersey Mike’s for Expansion and Technology Info Gain

The American private equity firm Blackstone has bought out the fast food chain Jersey Mike’s for $8 bln to increase its growth rate and focus on advances in banking & Finance territory.

The fashionable sandwich chain is Jersey Mike’s which has been finally bought by Blackstone’s private equity. This will put Blackstone at the driving seat of the fast growing restaurant and useful for even further enhancement, prevalent in the food segment.

Jersey Mike’s has plans to finalise an 8 billion dollar transaction in early January 2025, contingent. Financial assistance from a banking association will ease the company’s globalization while implementation of technology will ease on the operations in addition to satisfying the customers.

Subsequently, the number of outlets has gone past the 2800 mark and the total revenues stood at $3.3 billion in fiscal year ending 2023, up from $2.6 billion in the previous year. Blackstone’s support will make it easier for the company to replenish its promotion activity in the restaurant segment as they expect to offset the decline of its gross stores.

Current Jersey Mike’s Founder and CEO Peter Cancro, who bought the first Jersey Mike’s shop in 1975, will maintain his position after owning a major stake in it. Cancro asserted his belief that Blackstone’s stake would facilitate driving the growth of the business at Jersey Mike’s in the banking & finance segment of the restaurant business.

This is in light of Blackstone’s purchase of Tropical Smoothie Cafe as the first major purchase of the year, which demonstrates their pattern of acquiring fast casual restaurants growing.
