Netflix address struggle with gaming

The Netflix co-CEO Greg Peters addressed the company’s struggle in increasing awareness of its video game aspect of the business. However, Netflix's goals remain unchanged.

Despite providing video games to its users for almost two years, Netflix has had difficulty increasing awareness of this aspect of its business. Even if reports suggest that only 1% of service users are engaging in these games, Netflix's goals remain unchanged. Netflix Co-CEO Greg Peters asserted on a recent earnings call that the present trajectory is consistent with the company's previous expansion efforts, which have often started slowly. Despite the fact that gamers have not yet embraced Netflix, the co-CEO thinks there is still room to grow this segment of the company.

The format that video games are currently in is one of the main obstacles for Netflix. The games offered by Netflix aren't playable on a computer or TV; rather, they're essentially free downloads that may be saved on a mobile device. All Netflix users get access to over 70 games, the bulk of which are based on the streaming services of the corporation.

Currently, users cannot access Netflix games on TV, although the service is being tested in a few markets by the firm. Although these users can play the games on their TV, they are still reliant on using a mobile device for control. The corporation might raise more awareness if that feature is made available to all subscribers.
