AWS ranks top of the Gartner 2025 Magic Quadrant in terms of cloud services, global scale, and the modernization of the enterprise with AI-driven innovations.

On August 4th, 2025, Gartner released its Magic Quadrant for Strategic Cloud Platform Services (SCPS) for the second time, making Amazon Web Services (AWS) the clear leader. It is the 15th year in a row AWS has had first place, which is convincing evidence that AWS continues to dominate the markets of the global cloud market.

Gartner ranked AWS at the top of the scale under the category of the Ability to Execute, citing its wide service coverage, great reliability, and unsurpassed performance. AWS was also noted to have the biggest cloud community, offering professionals across the globe a chance to work and learn.

There is more to it; AWS has produced a series of cloud-inspired silicon, such as Graviton, Inferentia, and Trainium, that are increasingly power-efficient and closely integrated hardware and firmware. It has also allowed a high degree of a network of integration partners owing to its global scale, thereby promoting more usage of cloud technologies in the enterprise.

In December 2020, AWS introduced the AWS Builder Center to help developers connect to AWS Heroes and Community Builders, which forms a vibrant community of cloud practitioners. Enterprise modernization efforts have also been furthered by the company through AWS Transform, an artificial intelligence-leveraged service to help speed up the migration and digital transformations of workloads.
