Omnissa CMO Champions App Volumes Upgrade for Partner Success

CMO Renu Upadhyay highlights game-changing flexibility for digital workspaces

Omnissa, the independent spin-off from VMware’s end-user computing division, is revolutionizing how partners engage with customers through its upgraded App Volumes tool. Renu Upadhyay, Omnissa’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer, emphasized that this enhanced application management solution offers partners a chance to expand and stand out. “There’s huge potential for partners to grow and differentiate,” she said, noting the tool’s ability to tackle the complex challenge of app management across diverse IT environments.

Following its $4 billion acquisition by KKR in July 2025, Omnissa is now free from VMware and Broadcom constraints, enabling App Volumes to seamlessly integrate with platforms like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, and Citrix. This flexibility empowers partners to serve customers with both virtual and physical endpoints, enhancing user experiences across varied setups. Upadhyay highlighted that full app lifecycle management for physical devices is slated for release later this year, further boosting partner capabilities.

Bryan Parks, a solutions architect at Presidio, praised App Volumes for its ease of use and compatibility with non-Omnissa products, calling it a “game changer” for simplifying IT management. As companies face Windows 11 transitions with Windows 10 support ending in October, Parks urged Omnissa to further refine App Volumes for multi-OS support. With thousands of global partners, Omnissa’s innovative approach is set to redefine digital workspaces, offering unmatched opportunities for growth and collaboration.
